In the early 1970s, it was a tradition for W.C. Hinze to barbecue every Sunday at his home in Wharton, Texas. While the aroma of pecan smoke filled the air, there were plenty of family members waiting around to partake in the delicious meats that would come from that little homemade pit that was so well used. Rosemary, his wife, would be in the kitchen perfecting her “Famous” BBQ sauce and other delicious delicacies, like pinto beans and potato salad, that are made the same way and are just as good today as they were 35 years ago. Here at Hinze’s, we strive to carry that same quality and goodness that you could expect to find on the family table so many years ago.
